Case study in brief
Bank Leumi’s IT team had objectives typical of
their counterparts in banking and finance: ensuring high
system performance and reliability while utilizing rich
features for optimized administration. Posing an ongoing
challenge were the organization's ever‐growing capacity
needs and tight IT budgets that put limits on equipment
purchasing and manpower.
The Leumi team opted to put a single Nextra system in place. Given that the system was then a newcomer, Leumi anticipated a 2‐year trial period. Just five months later, upon outstanding results, they put the system into production. The bank ultimately installed seven Nextra systems in 19 months, at primary locations as well as disaster recovery sites.
Today, Bank Leumi is using Nextra’s single architecture to consolidate storage tiers, achieve excellent performance, and dramatically reduce management overhead.
