IBM XIV customers are diverse organizations across the enterprise spectrum, including from the industries of banking, telecom, Internet, and government.

The XIV system's rapidly growing installed base dates back to 2005, when the first (then called “Nextra”) systems were launched. Some customers have been using the XIV system for three years or more. Most are in the process of expanding their IBM XIV assets: ~75% of the XIV systems at a given site are repeat orders.
